Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
RCIA is a program for those interested in becoming members of the Catholic faith or those baptized who never received the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. This program works to instruct and form these people with knowledge of the Catholic Faith. In general, culmination of the program will occur on Holy Saturday with the reception of the sacraments at the Easter Vigil.
RCIA mandatory classes are scheduled throughout the year. From the seasons of Advent through Lent, special “Breaking Open the Word” opportunities as well as other RCIA Rites and procedures are held for participants at the 10:30 Mass at St. Ann Church. Candidates are encouraged to participate at weekly Eucharistic Liturgy (Mass).
