WELCOME to the Parish Catechetical Office. Here our task is to provide opportunities for growth in faith and knowledge for everyone in our parish family. Primarily this is done through classes offered for the children of the parish who do not attend parochial school and through events and experiences that involve the entire family. Additionally, we look to provide meaningful retreats, missions, and activities designed for a particular group, need or interest within the parish.

PREP STUDENT CLASSES: Families seeking religious education and sacramental preparation for their children may choose from two (2) options:

SCHOOL YEAR- This is a Family Catechesis Model. Families with at least one parent come one Sunday a month for class together. The family is given lessons to do at home. We review these lessons with fun games once a month. We begin in September and end in June. See parish Bulletin for schedule or contact Donnamarie Sexton 609-522-2709 ext. 515.

SUMMER INTENSIVE CLASSES- Classes are held daily for two weeks from 8:30 a.m. to noon.  Classes are held the last two weeks in July. Please see Parish Bulletin for exact dates. Classes are held at Wildwood Catholic Academy, 1500 Central Ave., North Wildwood. Please note additional Diocesan requirements. Contact Donnamarie Sexton 609-522-2709 ext 515.

SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION: Preparation to receive First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and/or Confirmation requires a two-year commitment to PREP classes as well as classes specially designed to strengthen the understanding of the sacraments. Attendance at Retreats, Service Projects and Parent meetings is also required.

PLEASE NOTE ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SUMMER INTENSIVE AND YEAR-ROUND STUDENTS:

Students are required to practice their faith throughout the year not just in the classroom. To show they are meeting this requirement they will need to do at least 6 Faith-Filled Events and fill out the reflection form. More information can be found under the Faith-Filled Events under PREP.
